Since its creation, Revista de Investigación en Matemática y su Enseñanza (RIME) has sought to contribute to the dissemination of new scientific knowledge in the fields of Mathematics and Mathematics Education. Beginning in 2025, the journal redefines its scope to focus exclusively on the field of Mathematics Education, understood in its broadest sense, including teaching and/or learning, curriculum and educational assessment, teacher education, educational policies in the area, and the sociocultural dimensions of school mathematics. RIME publishes various types of manuscripts, without restrictions regarding theoretical or methodological frameworks, provided they constitute a relevant contribution to the advancement of knowledge in Mathematics Education, and are addressed to national and international scientific communities. Manuscripts are received and published under a continuous publication model.

A partir de 2025, Revista de Investigacion en Matemática y su Enseñanza (RIME) publica un único número anual bajo la modalidad de publicación continua (flujo continuo), lo que implica que los artículos aceptados se difunden tan pronto como completan el proceso editorial, a lo largo de todo el año. En consecuencia, la convocatoria para el envío de manuscritos permanece abierta de forma permanente.
